Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve healthcare professionals’ knowledge of and competence in uncomplicated UTI and treatment strategies to optimize patient care.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, registered nurses, and physician associates/physician assistants practicing in primary care, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine or who otherwise care for patients with uncomplicated UTI across various practice settings.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify risk factors for treatment failure in uncomplicated UTI
  • Analyze the impact of treatment failure and burden of disease on both patients and the healthcare system
  • Incorporate evidence-based guidelines, standards of care, and expert opinion into the antimicrobial selection of therapy for uncomplicated UTI
  • Develop strategies to overcome barriers to optimal care for patients with uncomplicated UTI
