Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to inspire European healthcare professionals to recognize aspects of their provision of HIV prevention and treatment where they can implement improvements that will enhance PrEP uptake and ensure that each person receives an individualized regimen that fits well into their life.

Target Audience
This program is intended for European healthcare professionals who treat, care for, and/or support people living with HIV and individuals who need or want PrEP. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize key barriers to PrEP uptake in diverse populations and implement measures to help mitigate these barriers in their healthcare settings
  • Work in partnership with people living with HIV to devise evidence-based and individualized antiretroviral treatment strategies that maximize clinical outcomes and quality of life and minimize adverse outcomes such as those associated with drug resistance
  • Devise care strategies that integrate insights from the latest data on emerging PrEP options and studies of long-term ART safety and efficacy

Information on the process to convert EBAC® credit to AMA credit can be found on the AMA website. Other health care professionals may obtain from the AMA a certificate of having participated in an activity eligible for conversion of credit to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
