Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of primary care providers to optimize treatment of patients with T2D and overweight/obesity. 

Target Audience
This program is intended for US primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates. 

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Select T2D treatments that reflect guideline recommendations and individual patient needs
  • Incorporate shared decision-making techniques into the management of with patients with T2D

American Board of Internal Medicine Maintenance of Certification

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.0 MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. CME for MIPS

*Completion of this accredited CME activity meets the expectations of an Accredited Safety or Quality Improvement Program (IA_PSPA_28) for the Merit-based Incentive Payment Program (MIPS).

In order to fulfill requirements for MIPS improvement activity, participants will need to fill out 2 brief follow-up surveys at 30- and 90-days post-activity.
