Improving Early Diagnosis and Management of Heart Failure

Heart failure is common in the United States affecting about 6.5 million adults. Although nearly 1 million new cases are diagnosed annually delays in diagnosis are frequent. Patients who are at risk for heart failure do not often receive appropriate recommended testing. And when diagnosed heart failure is often misclassified or not classified which can lead to mismanagement.
