History and Current Presentation
A 48-year-old female patient presented with dyspnea, a persistent cough, and intermittent left-sided chest pain. She has no history of smoking but was exposed to secondhand smoke during childhood. Physical examination revealed no palpable masses or visible lesions. The patient’s Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status is 1. Diagnostic imaging showed a significant tumor mass (>3 cm) in the left lung and multiple liver lesions. A biopsy confirmed adenocarcinoma of the lung and the patient was diagnosed with stage IVB adenocarcinoma.

ctDNA NGS testing was performed as part of the diagnostic workup and revealed no detectable mutations.

What is the next best step for this patient, given a negative ctDNA test result?
