Follow-up – Case Continued
At her 4-month follow-up, the patient has reduced metformin to 500 mg twice daily and was able to continue semaglutide 1.0 mg weekly with no additional GI adverse events. She has lost 15 lb (180 lb current weight, 8% total body weight lost), and her BMI has decreased to 30.9 kg/m2. Her fasting blood glucose remains well controlled without symptoms of hypoglycemia, and her A1C has decreased to 7.0%.
